Applications for all scholarships can be accessed online through the Chelsea School District Counseling Office. Click to apply on the Chelsea High School Scholarship Website. CEF scholarships are listed under the C.E.F tab on the CHS Scholarship Website.

Please note: CEF Scholarships require an essay. Your essay submissions should be individualized for each scholarship you apply for. Do not reuse your essay for multiple scholarships.

The Joseph Piasecki Memorial Scholarship
To be considered, applicants must:

Be a Chelsea High School graduate in the current academic year

Chelsea Education Foundation A.C.E. (Accounting, Computer Science, and Engineering) Scholarship
To be considered, applicants must:

The Chelsea Rod and Gun Club Scholarship
To be considered, applicants must:

Be a graduating senior from Chelsea Public Schools

Have completed an Outdoor Recreation Safety course (e.g.Hunter Safety, Boater Safety)

Have an interest in but not limited to hunting, fishing, conservation, the shooting sports, or other outdoor related activities

Planning to attend a school of higher education

Planning to major in a Science, Conservation, Law Enforcement, Teaching or Environmental program but not limited to these specific fields

The Mary Merkel Scholarship
To be considered, applicants must:

Reside in the Chelsea School District

Pursue an Associates, Bachelors, or Masters degree in a Health related field. The students who are pursuing a degree in nursing will be given preference.

The Doris Schumacher/A. Henry Schumacher Memorial Scholarship
To be considered, applicants must:

Have graduated from Chelsea School District and be currently enrolled at an accredited college or university

Have completed at least one year of schooling at an accredited college or university

Continuing Education CEF Scholarship for Non-Traditional or Returning Students
To be considered, applicants must:

Not be a current graduating senior
-
Reside in Chelsea School District
-
Pursue a degree or skilled training at the post-high school level after an interruption of at least one year or more
-
Provide a list of volunteer and employment activities
-
Essay Prompt: Provide a statement of your goals regarding continuing education and employment, including what you have been doing since high school and why you are resuming your education
Note: Funds from this scholarship can be used for continuing education seminars but are not to be used for travel expenses or lodging
The Joel Gentz Memorial Leadership and Service Scholarship
To be considered, applicants must:

Be a Senior at Chelsea High School, or have graduated from Chelsea School District and be currently enrolled at an accredited college or university (current college students will be considered first, but Seniors are encouraged to apply)

Provide a current academic transcript (CEF to obtain if currently a Chelsea High School senior), a high grade point average is not required
-
Essay Prompt: Write a brief description of your leadership qualities and how they were used to complete a service project in the past year
-
Include one letter of recommendation written within the last six months; this letter should be a character reference (coach, mentor, employer, clergy, teacher, etc.) who speaks to the applicant’s leadership qualities and noting how the service project positively impacted others
The Diane Kieliszewski Female in Finance Scholarship
To be considered, applicants must:

Be a current Chelsea High School graduate in the current academic year or a Chelsea High School graduate who is currently enrolled at an accredited college or university

Be a person who self-identifies as female and intends to pursue a Bachelors or Masters degree in a financial field

Provide a current academic transcript (CEF to obtain if currently a Chelsea High School senior)

Chelsea Family Dentistry Scholarship
To be considered, applicants must:

Be a Chelsea High School graduate in the current academic year

Jewelry Set in Stone Scholarship: The Diamond in the Rough
To be considered, applicants must:
-
Must be a current CHS high school senior graduating in the current academic year
-
Must be planning to pursue higher education in art, digital art, jewelry design, or a related field
-
Must submit two original jewelry designs that could be created into physical jewelry
-
Must submit a 500-1,000 word essay answering the provided questions
-
All submissions must be in a digital format (PDF, PNG, or JPEG for designs; PDF or Word document for essay)
Submission Requirements:
1. Jewelry Design Submissions

Submit two original jewelry designs (can be hand-drawn, digital, or 3D-rendered)
-
Designs should reflect creativity, originality, and feasibility for real-world creation
-
Each design should include a brief description (50-100 words) explaining the inspiration behind it
2. Essay Submission

Write a 500-1,000 word essay answering the following questions:

What is your intended field of study?

What are your goals and interests for your education and future career?

What artist has most inspired you, and why?

What is your preferred artistic medium, and what draws you to it?

CEF Skilled Trades Scholarship
To be considered, applicants must:
-
Be high school seniors or graduates or current postsecondary undergraduate students.
-
Plan to enroll or are enrolled in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited two-year college or vocational-technical school for the entire upcoming academic year
-
Majoring in trade construction, industrial, motor/power sector, mechanics, or technology degree/certificate
-
Demonstration of commitment to learning a trade and completing certification
-
Provide a letter of recommendation

Essay Prompt: Provide a portfolio or a written description of work you have accomplished pursuing your career interest and a statement as to why you are committed to your selected field​
The Charles and Florence Pour Memorial Aviation Scholarship
To be considered, applicants must:

Applicant must be a Chelsea High School graduate in the current academic year

Priority will be given to seniors pursuing a post secondary education in the aviation field, including but not limited to the following aviation careers:

Pilot

Aircraft (A&P) mechanic

Air Traffic Controller

Write a short essay (250-500 words) covering these questions:

What leadership roles have you taken in your life and how that impacted your community?
